Anyone who wants to contribute to improve the social justice system in Nepal, can apply for the membership of Terai Human Rights Defenders (THRD) Alliance. Membership will be endorsed by the Executive Committee of THRD Alliance as per the membership provision of THRD Alliance's statute.
The Terai Human Rights Defenders (THRD) Alliance began as an informal rights group in the Terai region in 2006. In 2011, THRD Alliance was officially registered as a non-government organization in Mahottari. The main objectives of the THRD Alliance is to strengthen the voice of Madhes (Terai region) and to promote equity and justice by addressing the issues being faced by the people of Terai.
